  • Promotes Fairtrade and has taken part in Ealing Fairtrade Goup events.

Secondary schools

Acton High School
  • Fair Trade is studied in Geography (Year 9 and 11), Citizenship (Year 11) and in Enrichment.
Drayton Manor High School
  • Fairtrade is covered in the curriculum in Geography
  • Fairtrade refreshments are served (by the students) at open evenings, parents evenings and school shows and performances
  • Teachers from the school organised the Catwalk Show for Ealing’s Fairtrade Fashion Show March 2007. Over 40 students took part as models and helpers on the day.
  • For Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 pupils helped organise another enjoyable Fairtrade fashion show at Christ the Saviour Church, including Fairtrade refreshments.
Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls
  • The school’s vending machines sell Fairtrade products and source Fairtrade products for school meals wherever possible
  • Serve only Fairtrade teas/coffees (with Fairtrade sugar) at Parents’ Evenings and school functions
  • The school has a whole day given over to the subject: Year 8 Fairtrade Day, where the whole of Year 8 are engaged in activities raising awareness of Fairtrade issues
  • Several parts of the Georgraphy, History, Citizenship and PSHE curricular contain specific schemes of work dealing with Fairtrade
  • For Ealing Fairtrade Group’s 2010 Fairtrade Fair pupils read two Fairtrade related poems and helped sell raffle tickets for us.
    The school also had a display of the poems and some art work by the pupils in Ealing Central Library
Elthorne Park High School
  • Vending machine with Fairtrade products in Sports Centre (this sports centre is also open to the public).
Featherstone High School
  • Fairtrade workshop held during Curriculum Week in November
Northolt High School
  • Fairtrade tea and coffee throughout the school, and fairtrade bananas in the canteen.
